Broker-Owner Vivia Lawson brings 11 years of San Luis Valley real estate experience (and additional experience as a marketing professional in Denver and Atlanta) to all of her transactions. Awarded the 2022 REALTOR® of the Year (South) by the REALTORS® of Central Colorado, Vivia has built a reputation for her win-win negotiations and cutting-edge marketing strategies. Dedicated to community service, Vivia was elected President of the Baca Water and Sanitation District in summer 2023. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Realtors of Central Colorado and served as Board Chair in 2019.

When Vivia joined the real estate industry in 2012, the local market was still in the throes of the 2008 economic downturn that rocked the country. Her industry experience since then has included up markets and down markets; therefore, Vivia can confidently advise clients in all types of situations. Vivia not only has gained an intimate knowledge of this region, she also has strong relationships with local Agents, lenders, and other real estate professionals, all of which are vital to successful transactions.

Buyers and sellers expect and deserve a techno-savvy advocate who understands and can explain market trends, can advocate, and can strategize in a fast-moving environment. Vivia believes that real estate professionals must support buyers and sellers with the highest level of knowledge. This is especially true in rural areas, where every property can be very different, and an Agent’s knowledge is often key to a successful transaction. Vivia is knowledgeable of many aspects of real estate transactions that are unique to rural properties, including water and well issues, new construction, market trends, marketing, and legal and security issues. Vivia believes in ongoing professional development for herself and her Agents, and her brokerage exemplifies a cooperative environment where the skills and knowledge of all Agents are part of the toolkit for everyone in the office.

Vivia holds a Master’s degree in Studio Art/Painting from Adams State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Stanford University. In her spare time, she enjoys getting out in nature, hiking, bicycling, and camping in her boyfriend’s 1984 VW bus.
